MASTERYPATHS IN PRACTICE IN GISD

EOC Re-testers at North Garland High School participated in a course driven through MasteryPaths. This allowed students to focus directly on the item they support with the most. Check out a quick overview below.

In a Financial Literacy course in GISD, the teacher used MasteryPaths to differentiate and extend learning for students at different levels:

In this instance, the teacher used a MasteryPath first, and then provided additional learning activities and opportunities for outside of the path to cement learning.

APPLICATION IDEAS

As a teacher, leveraging MasterPaths could allow you to:

Create Choice Boards for students to have ownership in their own pathway through content (i.e. novel studies)
Choose a path based on their learning style or a differentiated application of the learning
