A QUICK OUTCOMES & LEARNING MASTERY GRADEBOOK HOW-TO

Adding Outcomes to your Canvas Course

Directions (Once Outcomes have been added to your Instance - See 'Canvas Admin. Considerations):

Open one of your Canvas courses
Click on Outcomes
Click on Find in the top right corner
Click on Account Standards on the left side
Click on Garland ISD (*Your District*)
Scroll down to click on Secondary Math
Click on the course you teach ex. 3rd Grade ELA
Click on Add All Outcomes near the top right of the page
Confirm that you would like to add the Outcomes to your course and let the page load
Click Done at the bottom right to exit the Outcome page

You will need to complete the steps for each course that you teach.

The Learning Mastery Gradebook

The Learning Mastery Gradebook (LMG) helps instructors assess the outcome standards (TEKS) being used in Canvas courses. This gradebook helps measure student growth and better assess the needs of their students.

Follow the steps below to turn on the LMG in your Canvas course:

Click Manage Subject
Within your course Settings, click Feature Options at the top
Click on the red X to enable the Learning Mastery Gradebook

To access the LMG, you will go to Grades within your Canvas course and switch the Learning Mastery Gradebook view to see the report.

Click on Gradebook and then select Learning Mastery to switch the views
